Nike Running Opens New Pop-Up at Nordstrom NYC Flagship

Nike is putting the spotlight on its running division in a new pop-up shop at Nordstrom.

According to the department store chain, Nike Running has taken over The Corner shop space at its New York City flagship from now through Sept. 2.

Dubbed “Nike Running @ The Corner,” the shop features a curated selection of performance footwear and apparel to serve every type of runner — including the new road running lineup designed with a focus on the cushioning runners care about most, the retailer noted.

The Nike Running range at Nordstrom NYC features three distinct categories across Nike Pegasus, Vomero and Structure, as well as select women’s running apparel, accessories and customization opportunities.

What’s more, the space will also feature a range of community programming throughout the month including weekly group runs led by Nike Running coaches, recovery workshops with ice baths and stretching tutorials, styling sessions and more.

“We want Nike Running @ The Corner Nordstrom NYC to be our love letter to runners: a celebration of movement, mindset and personal style,” Olivia Kim, senior vice president of creative at Nordstrom, said in a statement. “It’s about giving our customers the power to choose how they show up for themselves and their goals with the best of Nike innovation and Nordstrom service in one inspiring corner of the city.”

In June, Nike chief executive officer Elliott Hill told investors in the company’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2025 conference call last month that the worst is now over.

Net income and sales both declined again in the period, but based on Nike’s “Win Now” actions over the prior 90 days, Hill said: “From here, we expect our business results to improve. It’s time to turn the page.” Investors agreed, with Nike shares closing with a 15 percent increase the following day.

One spot where the numbers are already showing improvement is in running. Nike Running grew by “high single digits” in Q4, and Hill called out the success of the Vomero 18, which has already grown into a $100 million franchise after launching at the end of February.

The Corner, which is part of an ongoing series of pop-ups and brand takeovers at the Nordstrom NYC flagship in a dedicated space on the corner of 57th and Broadway, the retailer noted.

Nike Running takes over the space from New Balance, which hosted a three-month-long residency in at The Corner, the longest feature of a brand in the shop. Starting from May, New Balance offered a selection of shoes, apparel and accessories for women, men and kids across various themes.

Other shoe labels that have popped-up at The Corner at Nordstrom NYC include Ugg and Jordan Brand.
