Showgoers Got Playful With 'Necklace Bags' and 'Scarf Belts' at Copenhagen Fashion Week

After seasons (and seasons) of styling sweaters as scarves, both on and off the runways, the fashion crowd is ready to bring that same sense of creative off-label accessorizing to other categories. Attendees of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s Spring 2026 shows, which just wrapped in Denmark’s fashion capital, leaned heavy into accessories — especially those reimagined and worn in new, off-kilter styling methods.

Most prevalent were “necklace bags,” or mini handbags, pouchettes and coin purses worn around the neck as jewelry, usually in lieu of carrying any other hand- or shoulder-slung styles. A leveled-up take on the belt bag (which a handful of showgoers also donned), this trend likely requires one to go minimal with whatever is stashed inside, to avoid bulkiness and the potential for neck pain.

Others turned their attention to scarves to accent their street-style looks; but rather than merely looping them around their necks or heads, they fashioned them into makeshift belts, tying them off at the hip and letting the corners hang loose. This styling trick — which emerged as a trend this summer — seems poised to keep gaining traction through the fall, if CPHFW is any indication (and it usually is).

Keep scrolling to see all the standout, accessories-heavy looks from outside the Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2026 shows.
