Victor Konopka

A senior who was about to enter his sixth season in the program, Konopka mostly saw time as a rotational tight end with value as a blocker.

He caught six passes for 81 yards in his career and played in 39 games, while playing in all 13 games in 2021 and 2023. Konopka made his first career start in 2022 against Boston College. He also battled injuries during his time with the Scarlet Knights, playing in a total of 13 games in the other three years combined. He was a football and basketball standout at Don Bosco Prep and Blair Academy coming out of high school.

With his absence, Rutgers will have Colin Weber and Kenny Fletcher playing big-time roles at tight end, with Logan Blake, Mike Higgins, and Monte Keener providing depth at the position.

N-Kye Wynn

Wynn was a member of the 2025 recruiting class at offensive line, committing to the program out of Muskegon, Michigan. He was one of the more highly-touted commits in the class, as Rutgers beat out multiple Power Four programs including Wisconsin, Pitt, and Michigan State, among others.

He was ranked as the 43rd offensive lineman and ninth-ranked recruit in the state of Michigan, according to the 2025 Rivals Industry Ranking.

While Wynn’s immediate role as a freshman was up in the air, he had a higher ceiling on the interior as a guard with his 6-foot-4 frame.

Caleb Johnston

One of the newer additions to the program, the long snapper transferred in after three years at Washington, and a spring practice with Cal.

Johnston started nine games as the primary long snapper for the Huskies after not seeing any game action in his first two seasons. They converted on 18 of 26 field goal attempts (69.2 percent) and averaged 34.1 net yards per punt.

With Johnston departing, that leaves Michael O’Connor and Sammy El Hadidi as the team’s long snappers.
