Nike Dunk Low ‘Abominable Snowman’ Release Date IM7170-441

When it comes to holidays, Nike, Inc. has no qualms about getting playful with the designs of even its most closely guarded classic sneakers. Whether Valentine’s Day or Halloween, on-the-nose themed sneakers have become staples of Nike and Jordan Brand’s seasonal output. Later this year, the Swoosh will add yet another whimsical style to its offerings in the form of a kids-sized sneaker based on the Abominable Snowman.

The mythical yeti is represented on a new Nike Dunk Low that’s been decked out in faux fur and icy shades to resemble the cryptid creature. Across a Celestine Blue/White/Green Abyss colorway, the Abominable Snowman-inspired sneaker blends its furry overlays with a shorter, but equally fuzzy, base. The shoe’s tongue and heel Nike logos have been given a frosted-over effect, while the inner tongue reads “make your own tracks,” an inspiring message for the younger sneaker fans who will be lacing this pair up.

However, it can be argued that the highlight of this upcoming release isn’t even the sneaker itself. The pair will come packaged with a plush keychain in the likeness of a yeti. Complete with perked-up ears and a fuzzy exterior, it’s hard to not imagine that Nike took a page from the Labubu playbook with this one.

As for the rest of the brand’s upcoming holiday sneaker plans, only a few styles have been revealed. Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 18 will be released in a skeleton-themed Halloween look, while Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 3 will receive a glow-in-the-dark “Zombie” makeover. There will surely be more pairs added to the list, so readers will want to check back in the coming weeks for the latest updates.
