Tyla leaned into a contemporary gladiator silhouette for her All Points East set in London on Saturday, stepping onstage in black lace-up boots.
The black leather pair was built with open cutouts along the shaft, secured by a front lace that threaded from toe to knee. The design featured an almond-shaped open toe, a sturdy heel and partially exposed sides that kept the leg visible while contained by the caged structure.

The “Water” singer and Grammy winner paired the boots with a sequined hot-pink mini skirt. A turquoise bra layered underneath added contrast, while Eyland Jewelry’s Marta star necklace and Valentina spiral earrings rounded out the look. Her hair was worn sleek in a bob, with makeup built around a metallic eye. The look was styled by Ron Hartleben.

The silhouette echoed the gladiator codes Tyla has been circling all summer. In Berlin last month she stepped out in strappy Alaïa heels and later studded sandals by Alexander Wang. In New York, she switched to Amina Muaddi stilettos with crystal buckles, and at the Kids’ Choice Awards in June, she cycled through Rene Caovilla’s coiled Cleo sandals, metallic Brian Atwoods and a pair of Nike sneakers on the orange carpet.
At Victoria Park, the lace-up boot pushed that progression further. Where her Alaïa pair traced thin straps around the leg, this style used wider panels and a front cage to frame the calf. The stiletto base and open toe kept it light enough for stage movement, but the effect was still architectural.
Her set was part of All Points East, which returned to Victoria Park for two weekends in August. The 2025 lineup paired headliners like RAYE and Underworld with rising acts including Tyla, alongside free “In the Neighbourhood” programming midweek.
