Travis Kelce Laces Up Louboutin Sneakers for ‘The Kingdom’ Screening

Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates hosted a screening of the ESPN original docuseries “The Kingdom” in Kansas City, Mo., on Sunday, and Kelce embraced the trend of wearing sneakers on the red carpet for the occasion. The tight end went for quiet luxury, lacing up a pair of shoes by Christian Louboutin, a brand his girlfriend Taylor Swift also happens to be a fan of.

To go with his smoky gray suit and casual ribbed white top, Kelce showcased a crisp white version of Louboutin’s Louis sneaker, a minimalist high-top style inspired by the basketball shoe of the 1980s. White calfskin leather is featured all over, and noticeable double stitching accents the look; tonal laces and a creeper sole round out the set.

While the shoes present an overall understated look, branding comes in with a metallic Louboutin insignia encircled on the inner sides of the sneakers, and the soles are splashed with the label’s signature red color and the scripted brand name. Also offered in a black leather option, the Louis sneaker retails for $995. The style has been around since the brand presented its first men’s collection in 2009.

Kelce is no stranger to designer footwear, and this isn’t the first time he’s modeled Louboutin sneakers. For a New York outing in 2023 with Swift, he wore the French brand’s Rantulow low-top sneaker style in white. He displayed a more formal footwear style — the label’s Grecco Oxford dress shoes — when he joined Taylor Swift on stage at the Eras Tour in London in 2024.

Swift is a demonstrated fan of Louboutin herself, wearing designs by the brand both on and off stage — she performed during the Eras Tour wearing an array of custom shoe designs by the label which were often bejeweled, and she stepped out with Kelce in December in the Movida Sabina platform sandal.

Swift has also shown love for René Caovilla and Jimmy Choo shoes with the album rollout for “The Life of a Showgirl,” slated for release Oct. 3.
