While the actress has also had high-fashion moments in Ferragamo, Alaïa and Christian Louboutin heels this year, during her casual moments, she opted for a pair of The Row‘s City flip-flop in black leather or the brand’s other popular rubber sandal, the Dune sandal. On Monday, Harvey slipped on The Row’s City flip-flop, which retails for $890 and is currently sold out.

The flip-flop is a refined take on the thong sandal, featuring shiny calfskin leather with stitched leather detailing and a lightly treaded sole, which helps elevate it from the rubber Dune flip-flops that she is also a fan of. The shoe features a thinner outsole, leaving the foot closer to the ground, as well as a wide footbed and a square-toe box.

Harvey paired the sandals with a black maxidress that featured a sleeveless, halter-neck design. She dressed up the casual dress with black and gold sunglasses and the Valentino Garavani Panthea bag. The bag is made from black napa leather with a chevron pattern and feline heads detail, and gold hardware. The purse will be in stores starting in September.

Harvey has joined a long list of celebrities, including Zoë Kravitz and Jonathan Bailey, who have adopted the flip-flop trend taking over the footwear space, making The Row their brand of choice for thong sandals. Flip-flops have remained as the go-to beach and poolside shoe, but they were popularized as a casual shoe in the early 2000s.

With other Y2K-style trends making a comeback lately, interest in flip-flop sandals has surged. The Q2 2025 Lyst Index was released in July, and the quarterly report by the global shopping platform revealed that the minimalist trend in the footwear industry was continuing, with The Row‘s Dune sandals landing at number one.
