Betsey Johnson has tapped Christina Ricci to star in its 2025 campaign, which spotlights “the beauty of being different.”

The brand describes its synergy with Ricci in a statement: “Christina Ricci is an icon of dark glamour and playful irreverence — the same spirit that’s made Betsey Johnson a legend. Bringing her in as the face of this campaign felt inevitable; she lends the kind of authenticity and cinematic edge that makes the collection come alive. Bold, glamorous, a little subversive — and so Betsey.”

The campaign taps into childhood nostalgia but remolds it to present a confident, mature style. A carousel, swings, a giant teddy bear, kites and more set pieces contribute to this theme.

Personality-driven accessories, corseted silhouettes, and materials like velvet, leather, and lace define the collection, which is now available. On the shoe front, options are plentiful and varied: Betsey Johnson offers the sequined plaid Jonnie combat boot, the polka dot mesh Seth loafer with an embellished bow, the sequined Ellis kitten heel mule, and more footwear styles. From plaid to pearls, Ricci can be seen modeling a variety of shoes from the collection.

Ricci is known for her quirky and edgy roles across television and film. Before Jenna Ortega stepped into the character of Wednesday Addams, Ricci took on the two braids and somber ways of the adolescent in “The Addams Family” and “Addams Family Values” movies released in the 1990s. Ricci returned to the Addams world with a different role in Tim Burton’s series “Wednesday” on Netflix, and she also stars in the Showtime series “Yellowjackets,” among other recent projects.

Betsey Johnson, who has long created whimsical designs, was honored with the inaugural Iconoclast Award at the 2025 Accessories Council Excellence Awards in May.
