Anne Hathaway reacted like a true professional the moment the heel of her Ulla Johnson shoe broke off on set while filming “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on Wednesday. The actress was spotted leaving a residential building in New York, while holding a bagel with cream cheese in one hand, and as she hurriedly went down the stairs, she stumbled, falling down the stairs and breaking her shoe.

Hathaway was in character as Andy Sachs filming a scene for the upcoming sequel, and showed off a new look that featured a mesh, black and white tartan long-sleeve top with a black Fendi skirt with a removable pleated panel that featured gold-tone metal snap hooks on the sides. She was carrying a vintage Coach Metropolitan briefcase with the look.

She paired the ensemble with Ulla Johnson‘s Bijou Studded high heel in black, which retail for $795. The Bijou heels feature a caged construction with smooth leather straps that are embellished with gilded studs detailing and cover the foot through the ankle.

The silhouette features a modern open-square toe with a 95mm block heel and is currently also available in light khaki “almond” shade on the brand’s website.

Hathaway stepped onto the stairs when her right foot teetered on the step, and to brace herself from the fall, she leaned on her right foot causing the heel to snap and break off altogether. She picked herself off the ground quickly, yelling, “It’s fine!” to the crew and onlookers who were watching her film the scene. She was later spotted at Gramercy Park showing off her shoe with a missing heel, and balancing on her left leg.
