Alabama at Florida State live updates, score, highlights


Alabama and Florida State both enter Week 1 trying to shake off the 2024 season. The Crimson Tide failed to make the College Football Playoff in Year 1 under Kalen DeBoer, while Florida State is coming off a 2-10 season.

Both programs feature new quarterbacks, too. The Ty Simpson officially begins Saturday for No. 8 Alabama. Mike Norvell went back to the transfer portal for Florida State’s next quarterback, adding Boston College transfer Thomas Castellanos in the winter portal window.

“People, I don’t know if they know, but you go back and watch every first game that I played in, we always start fast,” Castellanos said. “I dreamed of moments like this. I dreamed of playing against Alabama. They don’t have Nick Saban to save them. I just don’t see them stopping me.”
