It’s been a minute since Florence Pugh has walked the red carpet—so, of course, her return had to hit the Flo Pugh style formula: Naked dressing ensued.
The actor and former Vogue cover star stepped out yesterday (April 22) in London for the European premiere of her new film, the Marvel universe’s Thunderbolts*. For the occasion, Pugh wore a gothic, sheer panelled Elie Saab couture gown from the fall 2024 collection. The black dress’s sheer fabric was embroidered with a snaking floral motif that continued down her legs in tights form, with an undulating black tulle skirt. It’s a perfect choice for the darkly glamorous Pugh; a collection that revels in the mysterious, extravagant side of femininity and sensual sheer materials.

And in typical Florence Pugh fashion, she opted for adventurous glam too: Pugh (who has long been team chop) wore her blonde bob slicked black with a flicked out base. For makeup, she swiped on neon orange eyeshadow. Her manicure was the only thing kept pared back, reflecting the no-mani mani trend peers like Anya Taylor-Joy and Selena Gomez have proved fond of.
Pugh walked the red carpet with Thunderbolts* co-stars David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, and Hannah John-Kamen, as well as Pedro Pascal. (Who wore fashion favorite Conner Ives’ ‘Protect the Dolls’ t-shirt once again to champion trans rights). Later in the evening, Pugh and Pascal were spotted out at an afterparty at London’s 180 Strand—Pugh continued the naked dressing sensibilities for the night and wore a sheer, nude tulle trench coat, a matching lingerie bodice dress, and heeled ballet pumps.
Pugh stars in the latest Marvel film in a team of anti-heroes as Yelena Belova, getting caught in a deadly trap and forced to work together on a mission that will dredge up their pasts—already, the film is receiving positive reviews.
