What: An outdoor apparel brand specializing in a women-first approach to technical ski wear.
Price Range: $15-$695
Founders: Kiley McKinnon, Ariana Ferwerda and Karelle Golda
Origin Story: After competing in men’s ski wear at the 2018 Winter Olympics, Kiley McKinnon had had enough of the “unisex” fits that were truly meant for men and the unapproachability of the outdoor industry. Frustrated by the lack of gear fit for women’s bodies, coupled with “hardcore” outdoor culture, McKinnon came together with Ariana Ferwerda and Karelle Golda to provide women with a better option for ski apparel, and to disrupt the male-dominated outdoor industry.
Since launching in 2020, the brand has expanded into outdoor apparel for the mountain year-round. Olympian-founded and Colorado-based, Halfdays is the first brand to take an entirely women-first approach to technical ski wear. The goal is to empower women to own the mountain. The product ethos of mountain-ready performance fashion is rooted in the three key elements: fashion, function and fit. Constructed from recycled, technical materials and designed by the best, Halfdays’ product is made to last and crafted from the ground up for women’s bodies.
