Comfort seems to be trending among male actors on the red carpet this year. After Jonathan Bailey made headlines with his The Row flip-flops in June, it was Jason Momoa‘s turn to bring an unusual footwear choice to the 2025 Venice Film Festival red carpet.
While attending the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award 2025 and the “In the Hand of Dante” red carpet premiere on Wednesday, Momoa showed up in a pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals. More specifically, the actor wore a piece from the brand’s collaboration with Concepts, which was released in 2023.

The style, introduced as part of Birkenstock’s 10-year anniversary celebrations, was inspired by the vibrant colors of Miami and features a unique upper with dyed cowhide with extra-long hair.
Showing commitment to the pink theme, Momoa painted his toenails with pink nail polish, making the style statement even bolder.

The actor’s look also included a coordinated pink suit featuring a relaxed, contemporary silhouette. He even added suspenders for a touch of vintage-inspired flair.
Momoa and Birkenstock have a long relationship. The actor famously went viral in 2019 after wearing the brand’s Boston clogs on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” At the time, he shared that his whole family is a fan of Birkenstocks.

Momoa is known for wearing playful outfits while promoting his work. At the 2022 premiere of “Slumberland,” he arrived in leopard-print slippers and a purple silk pajama set. Meanwhile, Birkenstock is not strange to the glamour of red carpets. In 2019, Frances McDormand notably wore red Valentino x Birkenstock sandals to match her dress at the Rome Film Festival.
