Ole Miss updates availability status for key players for Kentucky

Ole Miss was looking like it was a walking wounded after Wednesday’s initial player availability report revealed key starters could be dealing with some injuries.

The biggest surprise was starting tight end Dae’Quan Wright being on the report. He was listed as ‘Questionable’ on Wednesday and was no longer included on Thursday’s report.

Wright was the second-leading receiver in last week’s win over Georgia State with four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Fellow tight end Luke Hasz was listed as ‘Out’ on Wednesday and will keep the Arkansas transfer unavailable for a second straight game has he works to return from an injury that required surgery in Fall camp.

Freshman wide receiver Caleb Cunningham was also listed as ‘Out’ on Wednesday, but is now listed as ‘Questionable.’ He played six snaps in last weekend’s game against the Panthers.

On the offensive line there was hope Delano Townsend might make his Ole Miss debut against the Wildcats this weekend. He was listed as ‘Questionable’ on Wednesday and that status was upgraded to ‘Probable’ on Thursday.

The Rebels secondary is also aiming to get transfer cornerback Jaylon Braxton on the field after missing the season opener. Braxton’s status was remained ‘Questionable’ on Thursday.

There will be another availability report released on Friday then a final report released 90 minutes before the 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff between the Rebels and Wildcats on Saturday.
