Every New York Fashion Week Event That's Open to the Public



We’re days away from the streets of New York overflowing with an impeccably-dressed crowd of fashion industry creatives, press, content creators and trendsetters, signaling to any confused onlookers that New York Fashion Week is indeed in session.

But the week-long sartorial festivities extend beyond ticketed runway shows and presentations. Below, we’ve compiled a list of free (!) events open to the public throughout the week, from shoppable pop-ups to designer showcases. (And check back for more as we update the list.)

Tezza Photobooth Pop-Up

Friday, Sept. 12 through Saturday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 14, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Iconic Magazines, 238 Lafayette Street

Tezza App is offering an early look at founder Tezza Barton’s new photobooth. Attendees will be able to see the app’s creative editing tools in action during a real-life photo moment. 

CFDA x Rockefeller Center

Thursday, Sept. 11 through Tuesday, Sept. 16
Rockefeller Center

The CFDA partnered with the Rockefeller Center to bring the NYFW Live experience for the second season. Guests will be able to watch live screenings of select runway shows, including Anna Sui, Calvin Klein Collection, Christian Siriano, Coach, Collina Strada, Jason Wu, KidSuper, Michael Kors, Off-White, Ralph Lauren, Sergio Hudson and Tory Burch. 

Caffè Guess

Saturday, Sept. 13, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
530 West 25th Street

Guess is inviting guests to the Italian experience, right in the heart of Chelsea. The brand is hosting a two-day exclusive pop-up in celebration of its new Camden Handbag. The pop-up will feature complimentary coffee and gelato, exclusive gifts, custom fashion illustrations and a photo booth, all set in an Italian-inspired café.

 RaiseFashion The Gallery Showcase

Tuesday, Sept. 9, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
40 Crosby Street (Between Broome and Grand Streets)

RaiseFashion is shining a spotlight on emerging designers by allowing visitors to engage directly with rising talent. The non-profit invites the public to experience brand designs up close and connect with other creatives within an inclusive setting.

Capital One’s Immersive Activation

Wednesday, Sept. 10– Friday, Sept. 12, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Academy Mansion, 2 East 63rd Street

Capital One and The Cultivist are teaming up with artist Anna Weyant to debut “The Dollhouse,” an interactive, fashion-forward installation. Marc Jacobs is also participating in the activation, showcasing exclusive couture designs and archival looks from his 40th anniversary show. In addition to enjoying the installation, guests will be able to attend two beauty masterclasses: On Sept. 10 at 2 p.m., nail artist Mei Kawajiri will showcase creative nail techniques, inspired by Marc Jacobs’ doll collection. At the same time, the following day, celebrity hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos will teach bold hair looks.
