On Wednesday, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) added not just the first day of New York Fashion Week shows to its to-do list, but also decided to announce the nominees and honorees for its upcoming CFDA Fashion Awards. The ceremony will once again be presented by Amazon Fashion, the company’s fourth time as the event’s sponsor.
For the American Womenswear Designer of the Year award, Rachel Scott of Diotima (who recently also stepped into the role of creative director at Proenza Schouler) is nominated for a second year in a row, following her win at the 2024 event. Daniella Kallmeyer of Kallmeyer, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch and Wes Gordon of Carolina Herrera are also nominated in the category.
As for Menswear, Mike Amiri of Amiri, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta of Eckhaus Latta, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen of The Row, Thom Browne and Willy Chavarria (last year’s recipient) complete the lineup.
