Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B confirmed that she’s expecting a child with her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, during a “CBS Mornings” interview with Gayle King that released Wednesday.

“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi B told King.

Cardi B, whose birth name is Belcalis Almanzar, added: “I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby. Me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other. We’re like in the same space in our careers.”

When King inquired about what Cardi B meant by saying she and Diggs are in the same space in their careers, she had this to say:

“You know what it is, I feel like we’re really great and [each are] one of the best at what we do, and me and him think the same way. It’s like, ‘Yeah, we’re one of the greatest, but what’s next? … Do it again.’ We have to do it again, all the time. We’re never comfortable. We just want to keep doing it, and that’s just how we both are.”

Cardi B is already a mother of three children. She had two daughters and a son with rapper Offset, whom she was previously married to. In 2024, Cardi B announced that she filed for divorce.

Cardi B told King she’s expecting her fourth child, her first with Diggs, before her tour begins in February.

Cardi B’s sophomore album, “Am I the Drama?” comes out Friday.

Diggs, who has a daughter from a previous relationship, is currently in his 11th NFL season. The four-time Pro Bowler has played for the Minnesota Vikings (2015-19), Buffalo Bills (2020-23), Houston Texans (2024) and now the Patriots.
