Heidi Klum & Alessandra Ambrosio Match Dirndls to Heels at HeidiFest

Heidi Klum and Alessandra Ambrosio leaned into Bavarian tradition with a tonal, high heel twist at HeidiFest, Klum’s Oktoberfest-inspired party at Munich’s Hofbräuhaus on Thursday.

Klum’s choice was the more playful of the two: a pair of bright red pumps styled with frilled white socks. The shoes featured a rounded toe and moderate stiletto heel, their candy-red shade aligning neatly with the supermodel’s crimson dirndl dress and floral crown.

The addition of socks brought her into one of the year’s more polarizing but persistent footwear trends — socks and heels — which has recently been adopted by stars like Simone Ashley and GloRilla. For Klum, it added a dash of school-girl charm while keeping the palette tightly coordinated.

Ambrosio kept her look streamlined in neutral suede stilettos. The pointed pumps, cut low across the vamp and set on a slim heel, brought a soft contrast to the ivory dirndl.

The contrast between the two former Victoria’s Secret Angels emphasized the range of shoe styling on festive carpets. Klum, who has a recent streak of tonal footwear moments — from navy satin stilettos on “Good Morning America” to powder blue sandals for Calzedonia — continues to push her ensembles toward play and precision in equal measure. Just last month she also made headlines for swapping stilettos for penny loafers while filming “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” nodding to another key shoe of the summer.

Ambrosio, meanwhile, has kept to her classic signatures. Her suede pumps fit seamlessly into the lineup of neutral, versatile heels she’s often favored on carpets and off-duty.

Together, the two models — who each defined different eras of Victoria’s Secret’s heyday — used their footwear to frame Klum’s latest venture: a televised, star-studded “ultimate pre-Oktoberfest party” broadcast by ProSieben.
