Azerbaijan GP: Lewis Hamilton quickest for fast Ferrari as Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri hit Baku walls in Practice Two | F1 News

Lewis Hamilton led an impressive Ferrari one-two as McLaren title challengers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri both hit walls in a dramatic second practice session at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Continuing a typically incident-packed Friday on the challenging Baku street track after an eventful opening session, Ferrari took advantage at the top of the timesheet as McLaren experienced an unusually scruffy session.

Norris’ brush with the barriers, at Turn Four, proved most significant as the damage sustained to his car’s left-rear kept him out of the remainder of the session.

Piastri brushed the barriers himself soon after but was able to continue without sufficient delay, although he only finished 12th fastest thereafter after not completing a representative soft-tyre lap.
