Blake Lively brought a special guest with her to the 2025 Time 100 Gala on Thursday in New York City. The “Another Simple Favor” star was joined by her mother, Willie Elain McAlpin, to whom she paid tribute during her speech at Thursday night’s star-studded event.

Lively opted for a design courtesy of Zuhair Murad‘s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The muted pink gown featured an off-the-shoulder design with ruched fabric at the bustline and on the sleeves. The skirt of the gown featured an A-line silhouette, while a cape-like effect in the back created further volume and added dimension to Lively’s attire.

As for accessories, Lively opted for bursts of contrasting color. The actress wore green earrings and a few cocktail rings and bracelets in the same springtime shade. When it came to her glam, Lively’s chestnut hair was styled with voluminous curls that cascaded down her back.

Lively posed for a series of photos on the red carpet alongside her mother, Willie Elain McAlpin. McAlpin wore a floor-length black gown with sheer details on the sleeves and around the neckline. The dress also included a bevy of sparkle.

Lively’s gown made its debut during Paris Fashion Week in October 2024. Murad “traveled inward to examine the emotion of transformation and building inner strength,” Rhonda Richford wrote of the collection in WWD’s review. “For that journey, he arrived on the idea of a mermaid — a mere human morphing into a new being — and swept away structure with a slimmer silhouette.”

The 2025 Time 100 Gala took place on Thursday in New York City at Jazz at Lincoln Center, serving as the annual celebration of Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The event brought a diverse group of global leaders, entertainers, athletes and innovators together, who were recognized for their impact across various sectors.
