
The SEC on Monday announced kickoff times and TV broadcast information for its conference schedule in Week 6, including the Alabama Crimson Tide’s matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Alabama vs. Vanderbilt at Bryant-Denny Stadium will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Oct. 4. The game will be televised on either ABC or ESPN, with official network designation to be finalized after Saturday’s Week 5 slate.
Alabama (2-1 overall) is coming off a 38-14 win over the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 3. The Crimson Tide are ranked No. 16 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll.
Vanderbilt (4-0) and sixth-year senior quarterback Diego Pavia defeated Georgia State, 70-21, on Saturday in Nashville. The Commodores are ranked No. 20 in the Coaches Poll and No. 18 in the AP Top 25 poll. The Crimson Tide are ranked No. 17 in the AP poll.
Alabama fell in a stunning 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt on Oct. 5 last year in Nashville when the Crimson Tide were briefly ranked No. 1. The loss to Vanderbilt was the Tide’s first to the Commodores since 1984.
Alabama will take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC opener for both teams this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT at Sanford Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC.
Georgia (3-0) is ranked No. 3 in the Coaches Poll.
