After spending some time in New York over the last week, Jessica Alba brought a taste of East Coast style for a look she wore to dinner in Los Angeles on Monday. The actress was spotted leaving the Marea Beverly Hills restaurant with her friends, wearing a fall-ready chocolate brown ensemble, with boots that blend two of the most prominent footwear trends at the moment: cowboy boots and suede.

For shoes, Alba opted for a pair of knee-high boots crafted from a rich soft suede in a delicious chocolate brown shade. The pointed-toe boots feature an extended welt in black with a square shape that frames the toe and a stacked block heel, reminiscent of the ones used on cowboy boots. The soft shaft landed right at her knee, while the inside zipper reached right above her ankle.
She paired the brown boots with an Anine Bing Hunter coat in a matching brown shade, which featured a slim belt around her waist and dropped shoulder seams. She paired the look with Loewe‘s Flamenco Mini Clutch Bag in a brown napa leather, and coordinated the brown accessories with a a navy blue minidress.

The boot style the Honest founder wore are a more elevated version of the currently trendy cowboy boot. Cowhide, bullhide and calfskin leather are usually used for cowboy boots to extend their durability, but the suede gives them a more refined aesthetic.
Western-inspired boots and footwear have been all the rave as of late, and the trend is seemingly extending into the fall and winter months. Suede shoes are another trend on the forecast for fall, with suede shoes like ankle boots, high heeled pumps, boat shoes and flats making appearances on the runway.
Several designers offer similar styles to Alba’s boots. Stuart Weitzman‘s Jolene Boot also draws inspiration from the classic cowboy style, with its modernized Western-inspired details. The knee-high boot is made in Spain with a sleek pointed toe and are set on a Cuban heel that offers a 75mm lift.
Paige also has the Lillian style, which is a suede knee-high boots in chocolate, except it doesn’t have a zipper on the side like Alba’s. Veronica Beard also has the Lalita boot in a cacao brown suede, except they come in an over-the-knee design.
