After finding a rabid audience for their distressed and butter-soft boat shoes this summer, Sperry and Colbo are back for another collaboration.

The Colbo x Sperry Captain’s Oxford is a luxurious take on one of Sperry’s oldest silhouettes. Horween leather, coming from a Chicago company founded in 1905, is used for the upper and will develop a rich patina with wear, and Vibram outsole helps ensure that the opportunity to do so will last for some time. A flexible leather then sits in between and brings a level of the same flexibility that defined Colbo’s debut Sperry collaboration.

“Revisiting the Captain’s Oxford felt like a natural continuation of our work with Sperry because I was drawn to the shoe’s place in Sperry’s history as their first casual style,” Colbo founder and designer Tal Silberstein said in a press release. “It’s simple, timeless and adaptable. Our goal was to honor that legacy while making a version that feels relevant for today: easy to wear, versatile and designed to age beautifully.”

Colbo’s first take on a Sperry icon came in July through deconstructed and predistressed Authentic Original boat shoes available in three colorways. The leather uppers arrived visibly slack, eliminating the need to break them in.

The Colbo x Sperry Captain’s Oxford is out now on Colbo’s website and in its store, and another release will follow Friday through Sperry’s website. Pricing is set at $350.
