On Saturday night, the eve of the Ryder Cup final, the odds were looking good for the European team.
And not just because they were leading the scoreboard heading into the final day of the tournament: the players were all outfitted by the LVMH-owned brand Loro Piana, which has sponsored the European team since 2016. After the final match of the day concluded on the Bethpage Black golf course, the action headed over to the Frick Collection in Manhattan, where the luxury brand hosted an elegant gala dinner in honor of the tournament. While the team players stayed behind in Long Island, the tables and decor were rooted in a dusty green palette, a subtle nod to the weekend’s visual focus.

Guests dressed in a mix of Loro Piana ready-to-wear and accessories sipped from coupes of Champagne inside the Frick lobby before museum staff walked groups through the first floors rooms. The museum tour drew a rapt audience including Jeremy Strong — who frequently wears the brand on the red carpet — and wife Emma Wall, who admired the Vermeer paintings at the bottom of the Frick’s Grand Staircase.
Other guests included Lauren Remington Platt, designer Misha Kahn, creative director Alex Riviere-Sieber, Italian diplomat Fabrizio Di Michele, and more.
After cocktails, the crowd meandered into the museum’s enclosed atrium, where long tables lined the perimeter of the room. Nicky Hilton Rothschild chatted with Edie Parker founder Brett Heyman on one of the benches facing the room’s central fountain before sitting for the first dinner course. Golf talk was top of mind as guests shared their photos from the tournament and made plans to hit the West Side driving course early the next morning, before catching a helicopter out to the final.
