Go From Bedtime to Daytime With These Elevated Sleep Sets and Slips

As someone who works from home, I admit it takes a lot for me to change out of my pajamas on an average day. Judge me if you want, but it’s pretty much my life’s mission to create a wardrobe exclusively filled with pajamas I can wear beyond my apartment without a second thought, and outside clothes that are just as soft as PJs and require just as little effort.

Luckily for me, wearing pajamas as everyday attire has been an increasingly popular trend in the fashion world. Whether it’s Miu Miu and Fendi sending models down the runway in literal sleep sets or Vivetta and Moschino styling pillows as accessories (and who could forget Viktor & Rolf’s Fall 2005 bedtime-themed collection?), the most reputable names in fashion have given sleepwear their stamps of sartorial approval.

Following suit, celebrity stylists have been embracing the loungewear look with their clients. Selena Gomez, Zendaya, Elle Fanning and Rihanna are just a few of the A-listers who have opted for comfort-first ensembles — even on major red carpets.

And it’s not just silky slip dresses and skirts that can be transformed into eveningwear. Classic striped PJ sets are also part of the trend — just add a high heel, a bold lip and some fun glam.

From delicate, coquetteish nightgowns to funkily patterned two-pieces, keep scrolling to shop our picks to take you straight from your bed to a cocktail event, then right back to bed (a.k.a. the ideal scenario).
