Sarah Jessica Parker’s Pink Satin Heels Get a Snakeskin Update

Sarah Jessica Parker doubled down on statement footwear in New York on Thursday, slipping into stilettos that put two trends in play at once: Breast Cancer Awareness Month pink and a flash of snakeskin.

Her pumps, cut in a pointed satin upper, came saturated in fuchsia with a slim stiletto heel. A black-and-white snakeskin strap and counter broke up the block of color, folding the season’s reptile revival into an otherwise symbolic shade.

The pairing wasn’t accidental: pink for October’s awareness push, snakeskin for fall’s print revival. Over it, she threw a magenta jacquard coat and floral dress, finished with a gray quilted tote and oversized shades — a layered clash that’s been her signature since “Sex and the City.”

Her timing was deliberate. Estée Lauder lit the Empire State Building pink on Wednesday, led by Elizabeth Hurley, William P. Lauder and Olivia Munn. Parker’s fuchsia heels kept that ribbon hue in rotation a day later.

Snakeskin has been part of her vocabulary all year. Last month, she leaned on reptile-print peep-toe pumps at New 42 Studios’ luncheon; in May, she revisited archival Jimmy Choo python boots at a Paris photocall. For Parker, the print isn’t a gimmick — it’s a through line back to Carrie Bradshaw’s animal-texture arsenal. The connection is direct: Carrie was one of the first TV characters to normalize exotic-skin heels in rotation, and Parker has continued to fold them into her own wardrobe decades later.

The wider trend only amplifies it. Jennifer Aniston’s snakeskin Louboutin sandals and Iman’s Tod’s python boots in Milan have marked reptile as one of fall’s defining finishes. Rihanna has also rotated Amina Muaddi python heels this year, while brands from Jimmy Choo to Adidas have pushed snakeskin capsules. The print’s return has been positioned less as retro flair than as a new-season staple — a move Parker’s hybrid pink-and-snakeskin stilettos seemed to underline.
