Meghan Markle Goes Draped in Balenciaga for Paris Fashion Week

Meghan Markle went for classic monochrome with modern, dramatic draping for her attire at the Balenciaga spring 2026 collection show during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday.

The Duchess of Sussex elevated her quiet luxury style streak with two bespoke pieces from the Spanish luxury fashion house. For her first look, the “With Love, Meghan” host wore an all-white flowing suited look, complete with billowing, wide-leg trouser and a simple button-down.

Adding drama to the look, the As Ever founder also styled a flowing white cape that cascaded to the ground. Markle offset her monochrome white look with a pair of pointed-toe black pumps by Balenciaga and carried a clutch from the Spanish luxury fashion house to boot.

Later in the evening, Markle exchanged her white suited look for a black Balenciaga dress. The Duchess of Sussex’s black dress had a flowing, column silhouette with sleeveless design. Much like her white suited bespoke Balenciaga look, Markle’s black dress also featured a cape effect, which wrapped around her shoulder.

Markle maintained certain elements from her previous Balenciaga look, including her black pumps. Her glam remained the same as well, with a mostly natural, clean makeup look and her hair slicked back into a tight chignon, among the few fall 2025 hair trends forecasted for the season.

The Duchess of Sussex was among the high-profile guests who attended Balenciaga creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut collection on Saturday. The fashion designer was appointed to the role with the Spanish luxury fashion house in May following 16 years with Valentino.

“Nods to the founder were many, including T-shirt, white shirt and black leather cape versions of the founder’s famous Darth Vader-esque 1967 wedding ensemble; and numerous balloon dresses and skirts, the most striking in black leather,” Miles Socha wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

Along with references to Balenciaga’s eponymous founder and past creative director Demna, “the inimitable handwriting of Piccioli — his graceful, sculptural silhouettes, his opulent use of color, his romanticism — shone through, thrusting Balenciaga in an exciting new direction.”
