Latin American Fashion Summit Returns to Miami Nov. 2-4

The Latin American Fashion Summit (LAFS), the global, female-founded platform and force for Latin American fashion and design, will take place Nov. 2 through Nov. 4 at The Moore Building of Miami’s Design District.

LAFS was founded in 2018 by Estefania Lacayo and Samantha Tams and this year’s edition marks the fourth consecutive year at The Moore Building.

The 2025 program will feature such retailers as Net-a-porter, Moda Operandi, Shopbop, Revolve, The Webster, Kirna Zabête, Saks Global, among others, addressing key themes driving the future of fashion, including cross-border retail, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and brand storytelling, while offering Latin talent direct access to new markets, partnerships and investors.

Some of the panels and workshops during the summit include “Monetize Your Influence” led by ShopMy’s cofounder and president Tiffany Lopinsky, “Building the Dream Brand” led by president of Moda Operandi April Henning and Jonathan Simkhai, founder of Simkhai, along with a panel including a conversation with Craig Robins, chief executive officer of Dacra — Miami Design District.

Disney will also sponsor a dedicated panel reinforcing its commitment to creativity and innovation within the fashion and entertainment industries and will host a student meet-and-greet to highlight career pathways and inspire the next generation of talent. It will also present a museum-style pop-up exhibition. Natural Bissé, a leading sponsor, will curate a series of exclusive masterclasses and treatments highlight the importance of self care and well-being.

A highlight of each LAFS edition is the “Pitch to LAFS” competition, which will feature such judges as Karla Martinez, head of editorial content at Vogue Mexico; Elizabeth von der Goltz, founding board member of RAISEfashion, Johanna Ortiz, founder and designer of Johanna Ortiz, Carmen Busquets, cofounder of Net-a-porter, among others.

Pitch to LAFS was envisioned as a dedicated space to give brands “that extra push” — the mentorship access and opportunities that can unlock international recognition. “The ‘before and after’ of each story is living proof of what happens when you give talent the right platform and the right tools. Today, Pitch to LAFS stands as the perfect stage to elevate Latin American designers and bring their voices to the world,” said Lacayo.

LAFS will also feature a curated pop-up with over 35 hand-selected brands.

In addition, Zacapa, the premium main sponsor of spirits at LAFS, will once again present the Visionary of the Year Award during the summit’s closing cocktail ceremony. This year, the award will honor Patricia Bonaldi, creative director of PatBo, the Brazilian lifestyle brand, recognizing her exceptional contributions to Latin American fashion.

“This year, LAFS raises the bar on meaningful connections and measurable outcomes. We’re bringing the most ambitious founders, retailers, and partners together to open new markets for Latin talent and to prove that culture and commerce can scale hand in hand,” said Tams.

This year’s sponsors include Miami Design District, The Moore Miami, Zacapa, Natura Bissé, Disney, Kering, Granado, ShopMy, Foundrae, Maison Perrier, Mr. C Hotels, Istituto Marangoni, Zingara, Shelborne by Proper, Moxy Wynwood and SER.
