Timothée Chalamet is back, baby! Last night, the actor surprised fans at a screening of his latest film, Marty Supreme, at the 2025 New York Film Festival. While Chalamet’s most recent public outings have been his courtside appearances at Knicks games, the actor is trading in his orange and blue spiritwear for movie star attire.

The actor and his stylist, Taylor McNeill, tapped Givenchy by Sarah Burton to fashion him a look for the festival. Chalamet, who remarked on stage that he attended high school just down the street from the screening, opted for a high-fashion interpretation of a thoroughly New York look. Givenchy created a custom black leather tracksuit: an oversized leather jacket and pants that pooled around his calves. Wearing a black Daniel Simmons hoodie underneath his jacket, Chalamet’s collar resembled the double-zip collars that Burton sent down her inaugural Givenchy runway.
As for his accessories, Chalamet wore a pair of frameless rectangular Chrome Hearts glasses and a black baseball cap with white embroidery (not-so-subtly hiding his shaved head for Dune: Part 3). While Timberlands would have been a classic New York footwear choice, his leather track pants tucked into lace-up Nike SFB Field boots.
Chalamet is no stranger to Burton’s Givenchy. For the 2025 Academy Awards, the designer created a custom double-breasted butter-yellow suit for the actor, who was nominated for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. As he’s already generating awards season buzz after just one screening, perhaps we can expect more collaborations between Timothée Chalamet and Sarah Burton in the 2025-2026 awards season ahead.
