Staff picks for NFL Week 6 game

Atlanta will attempt to secure its third win of the season on Monday Night Football.

The Atlanta Falcons have been inconsistent this season, and their 2-2 record perfectly exemplifies that. The team will attempt to secure its third win of the year against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. Tonight’s prime-time matchup will air nationally on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. ET inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Falcons won their last game, but that was over two weeks ago. Plus, the Bills just suffered their first loss of the season in Week 5. Will Michael Penix Jr. and Bijan Robinson lead Atlanta to an upset over Buffalo, or will Josh Allen and the Bills reign supreme on Monday night?

Check out our Falcons Wire staff predictions for tonight’s prime-time matchup against the Bills below.

The Falcons are 2-3 over the last 5 years coming off a bye week. While they did defeat the Washington Commanders two weeks ago, the Bills are looking to get back on the winning track after their Week 5 loss to New England. The Falcons should be rested and they’ve played well while wearing the throwbacks in recent years, but the Bills are too good. Falcons 17, Bills 28.

Matt Urben (3-1): Buffalo Bills

The Falcons should fight hard coming out of the bye, and while I won’t be totally surprised if they pull the upset, the Bills have been playing at a different level this season. Atlanta is down a couple of weapons in Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud, plus the team has ruled out rookie defensive back Billy Bowman Jr. I expect Atlanta to make things interesting but see the team falling just short on Monday night. Bills 27, Falcons 24.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7:15 p.m. ET on ESPN. Follow our Falcons live blog for updates and injury news from this Week 6 matchup.
