Colman Domingo Is Valentino Beauty’s Fragrance Global Brand Ambassador

PARIS — Colman Domingo has been named Valentino Beauty’s new global brand ambassador for its fragrance lines.

The award-winning actor, writer and director is no stranger to the Italian luxury brand. Early this month he sat front row at Valentino’s fashion show in Paris, hot off two back-to-back Oscar nominations and heading into production on a biopic about Nat King Cole. His Valentino outfit nodded to the brand’s scents Sogno in Rosso and Amour Sans Détour, part of the Anatomy of Dreams couture perfume line.

Last month Domingo attended the Studio 54 reboot event thrown by Valentino Beauty to launch the Born in Roma Rendezvous Ivory Collection. He kicked off action on the dance floor there and took over Valentino Beauty Instagram Stories to give fans a sense of the revived club.

“I am honored to partner with Valentino Beauty, a brand that truly celebrates this connection between identity and scent,” Domingo said in a statement. “The brand understands that beauty is about breaking molds and celebrating what is unique. I believe in inspiring authenticity, and I see that same spirit in every fragrance.”

Claudia Marcocci, Valentino Beauty brand president at L’Oréal, which holds Valentino’s fragrance and beauty license, said: “His creativity and integrity resonate deeply with Valentino Beauty’s mission, making him the perfect partner as we continue to redefine what beauty means today.”

Domingo has been lauded for work in film, television and theater, and commanded roles including in “Bayard Rustin,” “Euphoria” and “The Color Purple.”

“Beyond his work, he is celebrated for his openness, generosity of spirit and unwavering commitment to storytelling that uplifts diverse voices,” Valentino Beauty said. “His dynamic style, fearless expression and ability to connect with audiences worldwide mirrors the brand’s vision of beauty as an act of self-love and liberation.”
