Jaden Smith suited up for the Academy Museum Gala 2025, which was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Saturday night, clad in a Louis Vuitton double-breasted tuxedo. Looking razor-sharp, the rapper and actor leveled up the outfit with the fashion house’s Beaubourg loafers.
Retailing for $1,260, the luxury label’s chunky Beaubourg style reimagines a classic penny loafer, per the product description. Made in Italy, the lace-up shoes are rendered in a glossy glazed calf leather. The footwear is enlivened with white stitching along the silhouette, as well as Louis Vuitton’s signature gold hardware above the vamp, which was hidden underneath his slouchy trousers. With a 4cm heel, the loafer offered a subtle lift.

Elsewhere in his look, Smith donned Louis Vuitton’s Night Lavaliere shirt, a long-sleeved blouse featuring a removable lavaliere collar. He punctuated the red carpet outfit with the brand’s white Petite Malle clutch, which boasted multi-color logos all over. A sumptuous silver watch and complementing skinny bracelet completed the “Way Up” hitmaker’s getup.

Smith has cemented himself as a fashion star this year, having been named Christian Louboutin’s first men’s creative director last month. “I found him very interesting, very kind, and very, very humble, and above all, very interesting: The way he is, the way he dresses, the way he thinks,” the namesake designer said about tapping Smith for the role. The 27-year-old’s first looks are slated to debut in January during men’s fashion week in Paris, where the budding designer relocated to focus on his new position. “This is one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house, and also stepping into such a serious role,” Smith told WWD.
