Scarlett Johansson is continuing her role as an ambassador for Prada, taking the brand along with her while attending the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors on Sunday. The event took place at The Balboa Bay Resort, and Johansson took home the Legend & Groundbreaker Award after making her directorial debut with “Eleanor the Great” earlier this year.

For the event, the actress walked on the red carpet and on stage to receive her award in Prada‘s patent leather slingback pumps. The shoes are a modern yet minimalist take on the classic slingback shoe. The shoes feature an elongated, square-toe design. A tapered, narrow top line on the vamp creates a delicate silhouette that leads into the slim slingback straps that wrap around the back of the foot.

While they’re not easy to spot at first glance, the shoes are enhance with Prada detailing throughout. The sleek, glossy shoes are decorated with an understated screen-printed lettering Prada logo in gold on the upper that enhances the modernist design. Gold metal lettering logo can also be found on the shoe’s rubber sole, as well as a larger logo stamp on the insole.

The shoes balance on top of a bound leather, block heel that measures around 3.3 inches. The shoes are also available in an ivory color and cherry red, and retail for $1,220 on the Prada website. Prada also offers a sharp pointed toe version of the slingbacks for $1,200, which are available in brushed and patent leather, and feature a stiletto or kitten heel.

She paired the shoes with an equally dainty little black dress, also by Prada. The Prada sablé minidress retails for $3,150 and featured a crew neck, sleeveless design, with decorative button detailing on the chest, with gathered detailing at the waist, which was accentuated with a bow detail. The dress features a slight flared but straight hem, that landed right over the knee. She went for a soft glam look, wearing her shoulder-length hair out and her makeup in light peachy hues.

Johansson has been a brand ambassador for Prada since 2023, and was featured in this year’s Prada Galleria bag campaign, which is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. The “Fly Me to the Moon” star previously appeared in the 2024 and 2023 installments of the Galleria bag campaign, which were directed by Jonathan Glazer and Alex Da Corte. She has remained loyal to Prada on red carpets, including at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and throughout her “Jurassic World Rebirth” press tour earlier this year.
