Kim Kardashian in Maison Margiela Couture: C-

The face covering is been there, done that for Kardashian. No matter how cool a dress is, when the wearer looks uncomfortable in it, it makes the rest of us a little uneasy. 

Charli XCX in Saint Laurent: A

This is very Madonna “Ray of Light” red carpet era, thanks to the Goth glam. It gives Charli a harder rock ‘n’ roll edge, which feels spot on for her.  

Kristin Wiig in Chanel: A

The critically acclaimed Matthieu Blazy debut at Chanel brings a more effortless and youthful take to Chanel, which really translates well on the red carpet. Case in point: Wiig looks cool and of the moment in this two-piece ensemble, bringing a new energy onto the red carpet. 

Elle Fanning in Balenciaga: B-

There is no question that this look, number 19 from Pierpaolo Piccolo’s debut collection at Balenciaga, was a stunner on the runway. However, when translated to the red carpet, it shines less bright.

Chase Infiniti in Louis Vuitton: A-

The dyed green element of the fabric brings a more casual element to an overstitched pleating taffeta gown. The result is perfectly young and cool for the breakout star. 

Jeremy Strong in Loro Piana: B-

This monochromatic red ensemble with matching sunnies is a move we have come to expect from Strong. He nearly makes it work this time — there is something very Count Dracula about this, very appropriate for the Halloween season. 

Greta Lee in Christian Dior: A

Is there a reason why Greta Lee has become one of the fashion ‘It’ girls of the moment? Her ability to reinvent black tie and and make any look the coolest thing is certainly part of the answer. Her partnership with Jonathan Anderson is an ideal tie up. 

Demi Moore in Prada: A-

This burgundy satin gown with built in constructed bodice and asymmetrical hip detail follows the spring 2026 trend of hip accentuation. It’s very flattering on her; if we didn’t know any better we’d say she’s taking The Substance.
