G.H. Bass has teamed up with Reigning Champ for a sport-inspired take on the classic handsewn Larson Weejuns loafer.

For this limited-edition release, the duo created two styles crafted from Horween pebbled leather – the same material used in official NBA game basketballs.

The footwear company noted that each loafer features a white lacquered outsole with debossed basketball lines, designed to be gradually revealed with wear. The two styles include an all-black version and a black-and-white spectator colorway, priced at $245 and $275 respectively.

The G.H. Bass x Reigning Champ Weejuns collection is now available at Ghbass.com, Reigningchamp.com and select retailers.

The collaboration comes after Aldo Product Services (APS), a division of the Aldo Group, inked a deal with G-III Apparel Group in April to become the strategic licensing partner for the G.H. Bass brand.

Under the terms of the seven-year exclusive licensing agreement, APS will design, manufacture, distribute, market and sell G.H. Bass footwear, bags and small leather goods starting in the spring 2026 season.

In June, APS president Jonathan Frankel hosted an exclusive cocktail party at the rooftop of the Hotel National des Arts et Métiers during Paris Men’s Fashion Week to introduce the 150-year-old American footwear brand’s new leadership and direction under the Montreal-based company.

“With the incredible support of our partners at G-III — especially the team led by Jeff Goldfarb — we’ve got a proven playbook for heating up brands,” Frankel told FN at the time. “Just like we did with Sperry, we’re bringing the energy and momentum. But don’t call it a comeback.”

And more collaborations like this one with Reigning Champ will continue with the brand’s new operator. In April, Frankel noted at the time of the announcement that the company will work on curating special partnerships and fashion collaborations for G.H. Bass, while also focusing on the brand’s signature Weejuns loafer range.
