Lila Moss Joined Tamara Mellon—Plus a Slew of It Girls—to Fete Ophelia Eve at Printemps

The multi-generational appeal of Ophelia Eve was unmistakable at The Boudoir at Printemps on Wednesday evening. The emerging jewelry label—helmed by Samantha Yorn and her aunt Beth—drew a glittering crowd of editors, models, and industry insiders to toast its first-ever retail presence.

Co-hosting the event were footwear powerhouse Tamara Mellon and her daughter Minty, who joined the Yorns in celebrating the brand’s buzzy debut. For those not versed in early-aughts fashion lore, Mellon is the former British Vogue editor who helped catapult Jimmy Choo from bespoke cobbler to global fashion phenomenon.

Samantha, like Mellon before her, honed her eye at Vogue before launching Ophelia Eve in late 2024. “Beth has always worked in the industry—she’s had her own brand, Elisabeth Bell, for over 15 years,” Samantha said. “A lot of our family work together on different ventures, so it felt natural to team up. We wanted to combine our viewpoints.” Beth added: “It’s wonderful working with someone so young who’s also incredibly decisive and savvy.”

In an increasingly uniform sea of gold hoops, huggies, and bangles, Ophelia Eve stands out by looking back—specifically, to the Victorian era. The brand’s designs reference the past but feel firmly rooted in the now, thanks to the Yorns’ mix of fresh perspective and industry acumen. Their signature palette of saturated stones—tanzanites, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and blue and peach tourmalines—is set in 18-karat gold and crafted by artisans in New York. The effect is rich, romantic, and anything but derivative.

Printemps, with its gleaming gold vitrines and focus on discovery, made an ideal setting for the launch. Samantha, dressed in an ethereal La DoubleJ look, greeted friends including Lila Moss, Stella Jones, and Grace Burns. Beth, now based in Los Angeles and wearing a vibrant Missoni dress (“I usually wear black, but Samantha insisted on color today!”), reconnected with old New York friends from her years in the city. As Champagne flowed and guests debated the week’s must-attend events, the evening had the feel of a stylish homecoming.

Next up for the duo? Their first appearance at Couture—the high-jewelry showcase in Las Vegas—along with a slate of exciting collaborations. In just a few short months, Ophelia Eve has already earned fans in Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Maria Menounos, and Jessica Biel, and appeared in print on style icons like Selma Blair and Tina Knowles. The future for the Yorns is undeniably golden—and sparkling bright.
