Long before the words quiet luxury were ever uttered, The Row established itself as the archetype of anonymous chic. When Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen launched their brand The Row in 2006, the goal was to create the perfect T-shirt. It’s safe to say that the mission has been accomplished and then some. The Row has become synonymous with effortless, wearable luxury.

In fact, the name of the label itself is rooted in sartorial excellence, paying homage to London’s high-class Savile Row, the British road known for producing impeccably tailored men’s suiting and exceptional fabrics. Over the years, that same attention to detail married with a love of simple silhouettes has carried over from clothing and into The Row’s coveted collection of handbags.

From the ’90s bag to the Sofia, many of The Row’s luxurious styles offer a no-fuss attitude that we’ve come to love from the brand. Ahead, we take a deep dive into all of the need-to-know silhouettes to add to your closet.

The Emilie

The Emilie is The Row’s answer to the perfect summer tote. Handwoven in Italy from natural raffia, it features a softly structured silhouette with tubular shoulder straps and a self-tie closure. Unlined and textural, it embodies the brand’s minimalist ethos while offering generous proportions for everyday use. Available in neutral tones like natural, mocha, and black, it’s the kind of bag that transitions effortlessly from city errands to seaside escapes.

The India

The Row’s India bag, new for 2025, feels like an instant classic. With its softly structured silhouette, rolled top handles, and subtle padlock accent, the India toes the line between heritage elegance and modern minimalism. Offered in an array of rich hues and sizes (from petite to plus-size carryall), it’s quickly becoming the next must-have for collectors of the brand.

The Devon

For a more architectural option, there’s the Devon. Introduced in late 2023, this bag is The Row at its most precise: think clean lines, sculptural shape, and an unembellished surface that lets the craftsmanship shine. The top-zip closure, structured handle, and optional shoulder strap make it as functional as it is beautiful. Available in mini and medium sizes, as well as a clutch version, it’s a power move in handbag form.

The Marlo

Meet the Marlo, The Row’s slouchier answer to the (no-longer-in-stock!) Margaux. This under-the-radar tote offers the same effortless elegance but with a more relaxed frame. Its pliable structure and exaggerated size make it the kind of bag you can toss everything into—and still look polished.

The Blake

Meet the newest bag from The Row, which arrived this fall/winter 2024 season, The Blake. Think of Blake as a slouchy, roomy tote bag but with a shoulder strap—genius! Constructed with grained calfskin leather, an exterior back pocket, and a removable interior zip pouch, this bag’s defining feature is a belt buckle-like trap, which allows you to shorten and lengthen the handle. Plus, a neat little tab helps to keep the Blake closed. The buckle comes in a gleaming silver for a subtle glinty touch.

The Bindle

Like many of The Row’s bags, the Bindle belongs to a family. A slouchy hobo bag that recalls the aesthetic that first drew the world to the Olsen sisters’ style, the Bindle was first released in 2016. The Bindle 2, which featured a double knot on its strap, followed two years later, and more recently, we have been blessed with the Bindle 3, which features a softly padded handle in lieu of the continuous strap of its predecessors. All three styles are unlined and fabricated from supple calf leather, suede, or a glossy, shiny coated sheepskin leather.

The Dalia

For the fall 2023, The Row gave us the Dalia–the slicker, more polished, bigger sister to its ’90s bag. Featuring a zipper that lines three of this trapezoid-shaped bag’s four sides and a spaghetti-thin shoulder strap, the Dalia is beyond elegant. Its glossy goatskin leather fabrication adds to the sumptuousness of it all. The Row’s site bills the Dalia as an evening bag, but we’d argue that she’s appropriate for all-day wear.

The Edith

With the Edith Bag, which arrived in the fall of 2023, The Row gave us its first proper barrel bag—The Row continues to mine the 1990s and 2000s for inspiration! Defined by a fully cylindrical shape, the Edith bag features two top handles, a top zipper, and a leather zipper fully crafted out of calfskin leather. At the moment, the bag comes in only four shades: an inky black, a bright red, a chalky white, and a deep navy.

The Sofia

After moving from New York City to Paris, The Row made a chic statement for the resort 2023 season with the debut of the Sofia bag. The structured bag whispers chic with its clean-lined silhouette, but it’s the sparkling lock that makes it one of the most notable designs from the brand. Most of The Row’s handbags skip the flash of any hardware, but this rare jewel masters the art of glamorous ease with its metal fastening. What’s even better are the undeniably elegant variations the bag comes in, from two-tone locks to midnight blue and chocolate brown hues. A handful of designs even come with an easy-to-carry top handle.

The Park

Not too many good things came out of the year 2020, but The Row gave us a glimmer of sartorial hope with the debut images of The Park tote. The celebrated design is part of the spring 2021 collection, and it stays true to the label’s lust for utterly simple designs with a streamlined bucket silhouette (some styles come in an elongated shape, aptly titled N/S for north-south) and a wide flat handle strap that offers wear-all-day comfort. The highlight of everything The Row designs is, of course, the materials: This bag is crafted from a malleable leather that ages beautifully.

The Half Moon

The Row took design to the next level with its Half Moon bag. The curvy silhouette is ergonomically designed to fit snug under the shoulder. Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski are just a few of the many celebrities who are proud owners and constant wearers of the sleek design. And if you’re thinking it’s just a bag of the moment, think again. This one has been around for nearly 10 years now, making its initial debut in 2014.

The Idaho Bag

Count on The Row to make a subtle carryall feel exciting. With a capacious interior and short yet wide straps, this bag is the epitome of casually cool confidence. The Idaho bag comes in durable cotton twill or Italian leather, and a detachable pouch on the inside will keep those small essentials tidy.

The Slouchy Banana Bag

More than five years ago, The Row’s Slouchy Banana bag made its debut in the label’s spring-summer 2019 collection. And it continues to be a favorite, thanks to a hand-free crossbody design that has malleable curves (similar to a banana) that hug the body when worn slung over the chest. Take your pick from durable canvas or calfskin leather in neutrals.

The ’90s Bag

Timeless isn’t always the antithesis of trendy. The Row checked both boxes with the release of its ’90s bag. The nostalgic design feels like a staple that a supermodel would have worn just before the Y2K era, and that retro silhouette continues to be a favorite among today’s It girls, like Kendall Jenner.
