Selena Gomez Brings ’70s Flair ot Rare Beauty’s Mental Health Summit

Selena Gomez elevated minimalism and businesswear on Thursday for Rare Beauty’s 4th Annual Mental Health Summit at Rolling Greens in Los Angeles. The singer attended the summit of her company, held in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, wearing a white cream-colored blazer with buttons and slightly rolled-up sleeves, a simple white fitted top underneath, and ’70s-inspired high-waisted, wide-leg light blue denim jeans with a flared silhouette.

Gomez’s look was styled by Erin Walsh, a well-known celebrity stylist who also works with other celebrities such as Anne Hathaway and Mindy Kaling. Walsh and Gomez have been working together since 2023.

At the event, Gomez spoke about her own experiences with bipolar disorder and the importance of mental health access for communities. The summit hosted nearly 200 attendees, including mental health advocates, creators, educators and Rare Impact College Ambassadors.

Author and podcast host Jay Shetty held a fireside chat, exploring how sharing personal stories can connect people. Attendees also participated in Rare Beauty’s “Send Warm Wishes” campaign by writing postcards to remind loved ones that they are supported.

“When I launched Rare Beauty, I wanted to create a brand with a greater meaning and a vision to create a welcoming community that could shape positive conversations around self-acceptance and mental health,” Gomez told WWD ahead of the event. “Seeing the impact of initiatives like our Mental Health Summit, which is bringing that vision to life, makes me incredibly proud of the community we’ve created.”
