All eyes were on Zendaya on the steps of the Met last night, nailing the 2025 Met Gala theme as she always tends to do in a custom Louis Vuitton design by Pharrell Williams, styled by the one and only image architect Law Roach of course.

But after slinking off inside the Met with the rest of this year’s best dressed, it was far from over. Remember: The Met Gala after-parties are where stars let loose and don some of their more experimental, playful options. For Zendaya, this meant shimmying out of her crisp white zoot suit that spoke so much to the Black dandy spirit and into something more sensual and sparkly—and nonetheless, exquisitely tailored to her.

The actor was photographed heading to the after-party circuit in a deep red, slinky Burberry gown with sequin rose detailing, and a feathered, burgundy jacket.

It was a slick second move, given Roach’s part in curating Burberry’s table inside the Met earlier in the evening that included Jodie Turner-Smith and Angela Bassett, and styling Cardi B in the brand too.

This year, the post-Met soirées were buzzing: Grace Wales Bonner, Roach, and Anok Yai co-hosted a bash at the Twenty Two with GQ; Janelle Monáe and Doechii led the charge at the Public Hotel; while Janicza Bravo, Ayo Edebiri, Jeremy O Harris, Tyler Mitchell, and Antwaun Sargent kept the party going at People’s. Met Gala co-chairs, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Colman Domingo (the latter in partnership with Edward Enninful) also held separate after-parties that went well into the night.
