Winnie Harlow Calls Lewis Hamilton “One of One” as She Reflects on Their Longtime Friendship

Winnie Harlow didn’t hesitate when asked to reflect on her longtime friendship with Lewis Hamilton. The Canadian model had nothing but admiration for the Ferrari driver, who she’s known for nearly a decade.

“My first race was in Monaco, quite some time ago, maybe seven, eight years ago, and I’ve been friends with Lewis Hamilton for about that amount of time,” said Harlow, who was in Miami to launch an exclusive eBay auction of pre-loved luxury fashion and a custom 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet.

Her appearance came just after Hamilton wrapped up a high-profile weekend — first racing for Ferrari at the Miami Grand Prix, then turning heads as a co-chair at the 2025 Met Gala in New York.

Hamilton, known for his bold fashion statements and activism, shared hosting duties with Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, and Anna Wintour, with LeBron James serving as honorary chair.

Asked what makes Hamilton so unique, Harlow didn’t hold back: “I think his strength is his best quality. He’s been doing this forever, literally. Even if you watch videos of him as a child, he’s always had such a passion for the sport.”

That relentless drive, she says, is what sets him apart from the rest. “His passion really defines him. He is one of one, honestly.”

Harlow also shared that her love for cars isn’t just about F1 — it runs in the family. “My dad is a mechanic, so I’ve always been around cars,” she said.

Their friendship, built on mutual respect and shared ambition, continues to stand strong — and moments like these prove just how deeply admired Hamilton remains both on and off the track.
