
Monday at the 2025 PGA Championship was a wet one, so much so that fans weren’t allowed on the golf course. Those with Monday tickets are being allowed to use the on Tuesday or Wednesday this week.
So how is Tuesday looking, weather-wise, for Charlotte, North Carolina?
According to the forecast by Accuweather, Quail Hollow Club, host venue for the championship, will see conditions that are “mainly cloudy, humid and warmer with a couple of showers” with a 53 percent chance of a thunderstorm.
Tuesday’s high temperature is expected to be 77 degrees.
What is the weather forecast for the week for the PGA Championship?
As for the rest of the week, Accuweather says there’s likely to be morning rain on Wednesday, but otherwise it should be mostly clear with a high of 77 degrees.
Once tournament play begins, Thursday and Friday are looking good with some cloudy skies and possible afternoon rain during the second round. Thursday’s high temp is 83 while Friday is the warmest day of the week, 87 degrees.
Saturday is mainly clear but there could be some rainshowers here and there, as Accuweather says there’s a 40 percent chance of rain, and the high should be 83.
Sunday’s final round is going to be sunny and 81 degrees and there doesn’t appear to be any rain expected for the final 18 holes at Quail Hollow.
Has there ever been a Monday finish at the PGA Championship?
No one is predicting that for 2025, but history shows that there have only been three Monday finishes at the PGA and none since 2005 when Phil Mickelson won his second major.
