Andie MacDowell made her mark on Tuesday afternoon in a full look from Schiaparelli ready-to-wear by Daniel Roseberry, ahead of the evening premiere at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The actress arrived in structured tailoring and high-contrast accessories in a head-to-toe look anchored by statement footwear.

Her shoes — a pointed black velvet pump with a sculptural stiletto heel — featured Schiaparelli’s signature Keyhole embellishment in golden metal at the vamp. Thanks to the shoe’s low-cut silhouette and clean construction, this detail was able to remain fully visible beneath a sharply tailored ivory trouser.

MacDowell’s white single-breasted suit, cut in cady, fastened with a gilded brass Padlock bijoux button. Under the jacket, she opted for a white cotton poplin shirt embroidered with a gold measuring tape motif at the collar and placket.

As for accessories, MacDowell carried a gold laminated crinkled calf leather Facebag by the house, complete with Schiaparelli’s signature gilded nose-and-lips hardware.

She kept her hair styled in natural waves, parted down the middle. Makeup stayed close to neutral, with soft definition around the eyes and a muted lip.

Roseberry’s spring 2025 RTW collection continues to integrate house codes — padlocks, keyholes and measuring tape embroidery — across both accessories and tailoring. “We’ve really experimented in the ready-to-wear on how to translate a couture sensibility in a way that feels comfortable and easy,” Roseberry told WWD’s Joelle Diderich during a preview of the collection, which also included new shoe styles, including ballet flats with signature molded toe details. 

The pumps joined a growing lineup of surrealist accessories from the house under Roseberry, where exaggerated proportions and metallic elements are used as recurring motifs. The keyhole detail, which first appeared in accessories from earlier collections, has since become a visual signature across handbags and footwear. 

The 2025 Cannes Film Festival concludes on May 24. Films premiering at this year’s festival include Wes Anderson’s “The Phoenician Scheme,” Julia Ducournau’s “Alpha” and Lynne Ramsay’s “Die, My Love.”
