Saturday marked the Cannes Film Festival 2025 closing ceremony, and with it came a parade of elegant looks — and footwear. Jane Fonda, Halle Berry, Elle Fanning and more put their stamps on red carpet style at Cannes, all opting for ethereal looks.
Jane Fonda paired gold caged block heel shoes with a silver take on the 3D floral trend. The actress wore a gown consisting of a floral-embellished bodice and a gauzy chiffon-layered skirt. Fonda accessorized with silver drop earrings and diamond rings.

Fanning also wore a dress cinched at the waist with a black velvet belt with a bow. The actress, who film “A Complete Unknown” won the Grand Prix Award, radiated in a voluminous powder blue gown consisting of tiered tulle and metallic silver trim along the neckline and straps. Along the back there was more sparkle, with a placket of tonal blue gemstone buttons. Fanning paired the frothy gown with a diamond collar necklace and diamond tennis bracelet by Cartier. She was styled by Samantha McMillen for the occasion, who shared on Instagram that the gown was custom Chanel haute couture.

Also in attendance was Cate Blanchett, who brought drama to the iconic red steps with a custom Louis Vuitton sleeveless black gown, draped at the cowl neckline with ruffled chiffon that trailed behind her, yet adhered to Cannes Film Festival’s newly ordained ban on dresses with long trains. The new dress code also prohibits naked dressing and voluminous outfits that “hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted”
